Established a student-centered framework, Enhanced student gathering and movement

In collaboration with Huitt-Zollars, Little partnered with Texas Wesleyan University to develop a transformational precinct master plan focused on enhancing the student residential experience and overall campus environment.
The plan establishes a phased vision for revitalizing the north precinct of campus by introducing new first-year and sophomore housing, a dining facility, and student-focused outdoor spaces. Informed by close engagement with university leadership, Facilities, Student Life, Residential Life, and students, the plan sets the framework for long-term campus improvements that prioritize growth, student retention, and a dynamic collegiate experience. The proposed plan allows for the demolition of aging residence halls and strategically positions new development for logical and efficient phasing over time.
Project Goals
This Master Plan project envisions a phased, student-focused approach to transforming Texas Wesleyan’s campus.
Through new facilities, renovations, and improved connectivity, it balances renewal and revitalization, enhancing aesthetics and pedestrian flow, and provides a clear, scalable framework for long-term growth and a vibrant campus experience.

Results
Our team delivered a comprehensive Precinct Master Plan and conceptual design for new first-year housing, while identifying strategic sites for sophomore housing and a future dining facility integrated with a regional utility plant.
The plan outlines a phased approach to growth that balances immediate needs with a long-term vision for campus development. Centered on a reimagined north precinct featuring a terraced green to promote student gathering and connection, the framework prioritizes a student-focused experience—advancing Texas Wesleyan’s goals for enrollment, retention, and a vibrant, competitive campus environment.
