Architect and educator focused on a better future

A 38 year veteran in the design of award-winning projects, Tom’s focus, as Partner and Community Practice Leader, is on the strategy, design and delivery of K-12, Higher Education and Civic buildings. Fueled by the desire to exceed client expectations, Tom strives to bring something fresh to every project.

Tom has taught extensively at UNC Charlotte’s College of Architecture, where he continues to serve as a juror and advisor. He has written articles on architecture and design for journals and has been a presenter at various regional and national conferences. In addition to authoring two books, Tom was the recipient of the prestigious Rotch Traveling Fellowship that led to traveling the world studying architecture and fueled his passion for drawing and painting. Tom continues sketching and painting carrying a moleskin journal at all times.
