The design of this science and health building at Queens University features design elements that are adaptable to today’s teaching practices yet anticipate future changes, making the facility a ‘living’ teaching environment.

A unique part of the science and health community in Charlotte, the building visually complements the architectural context of the existing campus while integrating architectural design elements that tell the ‘story’ of the sciences. A green wall and rooftop greenhouses extend the curriculum to the building exterior and surrounding site. Generous amounts of glass promote transparency and communicate the excitement of the science and health curriculum, allowing the campus community and others to get a glimpse of the activity taking place.
