With over 25 years of architectural experience—18 of them dedicated to the science sector—Doug Dorney is a trusted leader in the planning, design, and execution of cutting-edge research environments. As Science Studio Leader at Little, Doug brings deep expertise in laboratory design, having delivered over half a million square feet of highly technical space for clients across the Southeast.

Doug’s diverse experience spans the entire project lifecycle, from early programming and design to construction administration and post-occupancy. He thrives on solving the complex challenges unique to science environments, ensuring that every space he creates supports innovation, collaboration, and discovery.

Beyond his project work, Doug is a strategic leader, leveraging his extensive industry network to drive business development and expand Little’s portfolio in laboratory and research facility design.
