As Civic Studio Principal, Michael guides the planning and design of projects that strengthen communities and support the public good. His portfolio includes public safety facilities, local government buildings, justice-oriented projects, performing arts venues, and community and recreation centers, all of which play a vital role in everyday life.
Michael’s perspective is strengthened by a diverse background in workplace, retail, and critical facilities design, allowing him to approach civic work with both technical rigor and a people-first mindset. Trusted by clients to deliver projects with technical excellence, he is a results-driven architect dedicated to making communities safer, more accessible, and more enjoyable for all.
A passionate advocate for mentorship, Michael is a former adjunct professor at UNC Charlotte’s College of Architecture and has remained deeply committed to developing the next generation of designers. Through ongoing involvement with programs such as ACE Mentorship and AIA Architecture in the Classroom, he invests in building a strong, thoughtful future for the profession.
