The Story Continues: Introducing If Buildings Could Talk 2

Our talented team of creatives is back at it, bringing new life to the beloved children’s book If Buildings Could Talk with an exciting sequel. This new edition delves deeper into the world of sustainability, using imaginative storytelling and vibrant illustrations to ignite a passion for design in young readers. With a focus on inspiring future generations to think creatively about the built environment, this sequel promises to be a captivating journey into the wonders of sustainable architecture.

Buildings protect us, help us, and inspire us, but do you ever wonder what they would say if they could talk? Do they have dreams of helping us be healthier? What clever friendships have they made with the sun and the wind? Are they excited for the future? This imaginative children’s book contemplates what would happen if the buildings surrounding us suddenly piped up to tell us their big sustainability dreams.

Written by Senior Marketing Specialist Melanie Hawley and illustrated by ten designers at Little, If Buildings Could Talk 2 is the second book in a series that invites kids of all ages to ponder the conversations they might have with the architecture in their lives.

In celebration of National Read a Book Day, we’re excited to share a digital version of If Buildings Could Talk 2 below. Keep an eye out for the hardcover edition, which will soon be available for purchase on Amazon!

A special thanks to all the illustrators who helped make this possible: Caitlin Blue, Maite Bruno, Courtney Downey, Jen Todd, Russell Hopper, Rish Saito, Shub Chuhadia, Michael Magee, Libby Ulrich, and Shannyn Grandlienard. Additionally, we’d like to recognize our cover artist, Elaine Ivey, and layout designer, Cory Hester.
