This strategic acquisition will help to deepen relationships with greater DC-area clients while broadening design service offerings.

Little Diversified Architectural Consulting (Little), a national transdisciplinary design firm focused on elevating the performance of our clients announces the strategic acquisition of Hughes Group Architects in Sterling, VA. Joining forces will allow us to expand our practice areas of expertise to our wide client base. Combining Hughes Group Architects’ deep strength in public safety, higher education, K-12 schools and recreation facilities with our already established Workplace, Retail and Healthcare practices will offer a wide array of talent to the greater Washington, DC area and beyond.

“People – our clients, our teams and the communities where our projects exist – are the heartbeat of everything we do at Little,” said Carolyn Rickard-Brideau, Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Little. “We are excited to have the talented people from Hughes Group Architects join us to deepen our bench depth in our community and education sector clients. Our other practices will benefit from their experience as we collaborate to bring our clients design solutions that are focused on their business goals.”

Gavin Myers, AIA, a Principal at Hughes Group Architects, will serve as the new Office President for Little’s Northern Virginia office. “Joining Little offers our team the unparalleled resources and expertise of a national transdisciplinary design firm while enhancing and continuing our commitment to outstanding client service,” Myers said. “Becoming part of Little will allow us to offer a much wider breadth of design services to our clients than ever before.”

Both companies have a shared passion for design with rich histories that span decades. Little and Hughes Group Architects are committed to improving human experience and organizational performance through responsible and innovative design. We will be stronger together and continue to elevate client performance and to deliver results beyond architecture.
