The original Washington Elementary School was a high bay windowless concrete masonry unit. It suffered from an inward orientation that offered minimal daylight and no connection to the surrounding community.

Integrating remodeled facilities, new technology, and flexible furniture with teacher training has transformed Washington Elementary School into a high performance NextGen Learning Environment. The inside-out and outside-in transformation is a vibrant and exciting change which creates, for these young learners, a project-based learning environment as well as health and wellness through WELL Building Design Concepts.
