This high-rise combines the mixed-uses of retail, office, and a 22-story residential tower, offering a dynamic and lively architectural element to the city’s skyline. Developed in conjunction with the City of Durham, the project reinvigorates the daily street life of the local downtown area, while simultaneously respecting the design and scale of nearby historic buildings. As part of the development, the design team was able to incorporate the preservation of five historic structures adjacent to the site, while also implementing linkage to the city’s nearby plaza for community-oriented events.
